Mr. Reece believes in being a contributing member of the local and greater community. As such, Edgar has served on the Boards of Directors for the American Cancer Society, California Division and Claremont Chamber of Commerce. He has been the Official Community Starter for the Amgen Tour of California Stage 7; Claremont Honoree for Breakaway from Cancer; and past 10-year member of the Kiwanis Club of Claremont. Ed is a Citizen’s Academy graduate and active-duty volunteer for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and graduate of the Claremont Police Department Citizen’s Academy. In addition he has served as an Advisory Board member for Genesis Investments Co.; Key Club International, Claremont; and American Cancer Society, Los Angeles Region. Edgar also served as the Technology and Operations Committee Chairman for seven years for the City of Claremont Independence Day Celebration; past member of the City of Claremont Technology Advisory Committee; and founded the Edgar W. Reece Foundation in 2003. Edgar is the past recipient of both the Claremont Business of the Year (2000-2001) and Claremont Businessperson of the Year (2011-2012) awards. The United States Congress, California State Legislature, and County of Los Angeles have recognized his business achievements.
Currently, Mr. Reece serves has Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors for ReeceCorp; ISN Global Enterprises, Inc.; and Reece Community Initiatives, Inc. He serves as Non-Executive Chairman & President of CPHOA, Inc.; President of the Claremont Crime Prevention Coalition (CCPC); President of the Board of Trustees for the Inland Valley Repertory Theater (IVRT); and Community Advisory Board Member of the American Cancer Society, East San Gabriel Valley Region. Mr. Reece is also a Chairman of the Police Commission for the City of Claremont, California. He continues to volunteer as a statewide leader for the American Cancer Society, California Division, and is a Legislative Ambassador for the ACS Cancer Action Network (ACSCAN). Edgar also serves as a special advisor to the Business Council for Claremont After-School Programs, Inc. (CLASP).
When Mr. Reece has time for himself he enjoys spending it with his dog Diego, going to the movies, traveling the world, scuba diving, eating at fine restaurants, being entertained by live theatre productions, and of course, exploring new technology.
